Fall Education Semester Begins September 13!

Our new semester for Christian Education at Gloria Dei has begun! Join us for one or all of the following offerings this school year!

Children’s Sunday School (9:15 am)

We have assembled a dedicated staff of gifted teachers to lead our children through the exciting and challenging truths of God’s Word. The children will learn of Jesus’ love for them as they study selected stories from the Old and New Testaments, memorize special verses of God’s Word, and learn new songs of praise. All children ages 3-10 are invited to join us each Sunday in the school classrooms at 9:15am!

Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study (9:15 am)

Bible study furnishes us the opportunity to grow in faith as the Holy Spirit works through the Word we study. Throughout the year this hour will be dedicated to a variety of topics and courses meant to give you a well-rounded understanding of the Lord and his Word, with a special emphasis on how the Word of God applies to your life today and forever.

Our topic for this semester is the Civil Government. What is the purpose of the government; what is not its purpose? How does God use the government to accomplish his purposes? How do we properly balance being a citizen of our nation while also being a Christian?

Monday Evening Bible Class (8 pm)

This Bible study is another opportunity to hear God’s Word and enjoy some fellowship with other members. Every Monday at 8pm you can connect with your computer, smartphone, tablet, or even call in on the telephone, or meet in the Fellowship Hall at Church for this hour long study. The book of Acts will be the focus of our study.

 Catechism Class (Sundays at Noon)

Our four-year course for 5th-8th graders will be held after church each Sunday this year. While designed for our young adult to take up full, adult membership at Gloria Dei, all members are welcome and encouraged to sit in on this course to brush up on the basics of our faith.

Bible Information Class (BIC)

This  Bible study course combines study and discussion of God’s Word in a meaningful and inspiring presentation of the truths of the Bible.  The class is designed for those who want to learn for the first time what the Bible teaches, as well as those who want a thorough review. Upon completion of this course, anyone who agrees with what is taught is welcome to join us for membership at Gloria Dei, though membership is certainly not required. If you have a friend who is curious to learn more about the Bible, invite them to a BIC while joining them in it. It will be a blessing for both of you!

BICs are held on an as-requested basis at a time and place that works best for the students enrolled. BIC is always free to all who are interested. To schedule a course, please contact Pastor Shrimpton.
