What do you do with your empty beverage cans and bottles?

You've probably heard the ads on the radio lately or already knew that when you buy soda, beer, water, or juice in bottles, the store adds 4 cents per container (8 cents for containers over 24 oz) to your bill, for "CRV" (California Redemption Value). If you put these items out at the curb with your regular recycling, that money is gone. Drop them off at church instead, and we'll get that money back for our school. Last year, with only some members participating, this recycling project brought in over $400!

What should I bring?

Anything marked "CRV" or "CA CASH REFUND", including:

What should I NOT bring?

Wine bottles and other plastic and glass containers that do not say "CRV" or "CA CASH REFUND."

Where should I put it?

Drop them off in the shed at the west end of the parking lot (nearest Belmont Canyon Road).

Who should I ask if I have questions?

Walt Ernst coordinates this program for us. Even if you don't have questions, feel free to give him a pat on the back!
