School News for September 3, 2014

Back-to-School Night

We hope that you can join us to celebrate the new school year this Friday night!  A potluck supper starts at 6:00 p.m. and the evening will go until 7:30 or 8:00.  Please RSVP using the sign-up sheets on the door, or by e-mailing your child’s teacher to let us know how many people from your family to expect.  There’s no theme for the potluck; please sign up to bring a main dish, side dish, salad, or dessert.

Sunday School

This Sunday, September 7, we will be “kicking off” our fall semester of Sunday School (ages 3-10) and Catechism (grades 6-8) classes.  Sunday School runs before church, from 9:15-10:15 on Sunday mornings.  All of our school families are always welcome to attend!  The students will be studying lessons from the Bible that either supplement the Christ-Light material they learn at school, or repeat stories they have learned, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of God’s Word.

Happy Birthday!

Zachary E. celebrated his birthday yesterday!  We thank God for your first five years and wish you God’s richest blessings for the future, Zachary!

If you would like extra copies of the book, they will be available for $15 each. Childcare will be available for those who would benefit from it.
