Timothy Shrimpton
Pastor

Pastor Timothy Shrimpton was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and baptized into the family of God at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Strongsville, Ohio, where he was also confirmed in 1996. Following his elementary education in Medina, Ohio, Timothy attended Michigan Lutheran Seminary (MLS) in Saginaw, Michigan, one of our synod's college prepatory high schools, graduating in 2000. After high school Timothy matriculated at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004.

Timothy continued his training for the pastoral ministry at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin, graduating with a Master of Divinity in May 2008. As part of his seminary training, during the 2006-2007 school year Timothy served as vicar at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

After his graduation from the seminary Timothy was assigned to serve as assistant to the president of the Dakota-Montana District, Pastor Peter Naumann. From 2008-2012, Pastor Naumann and Pastor Shrimpton shepherded the members in the dual parish of Zion in Mobridge, SD and St. Jacobi, Glenham, SD. Pastor Shrimpton was especially responsible for midweek Bible classes, Sunday School and youth groups.

In June 2006, Pastor Shrimpton was united in marriage to Karen McGoldrick of Saint Marys, West Virginia. Karen graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 with a degree in architecture. Pastor and Karen have been blessed with two sons, Alexander, born in June 2009, and Oliver, born in October 2012.
