On Sunday, October 3, beginning at 10:30am, Gloria Dei will hold our annual church picnic. This event includes a casual, outdoor worship service and bring-your-own lunch together in the pavilion after the worship service concludes.
As we have done for a couple of years, the picnic will be held at Twin Pines Park in Belmont (1 Twin Pines Ln, Belmont, CA 94002; http://www.belmont.gov/Home/Components/FacilityDirectory/FacilityDirectory/208/334). We have the back Redwood Picnic Area reserved for the day. Parking is limited in the area and shared with others who will be attending the park for recreation that day, so plan to come early if you want or need a close parking spot!
Please note the following changes from a normal Sunday morning and our normal picnic procedure from the past:
We will NOT have a potluck lunch. Please bring a lunch for you and your family to enjoy while we eat together and enjoy fellowship time with each other.
Because of the picnic, we will NOT have Sunday School, Adult Bible Class, or Catechism Class. [Sunday School will resume on October 10; Catechism and Adult Bible Class will resume on October 17].
Because of our outdoor setting away from campus, there will NOT be any Live Stream of the service. We pray the outdoor setting will allow for most of our congregation to gather together for the service, but if you need help finding a different WELS church’s live stream worship for the day, please contact Pastor.
