Worship

Worship will not be held in-person, but we will have a live stream during the normal worship times (10:30am on Sundays and 7:00pm on Wednesdays during Lent) on the Gloria Dei YouTube Channel. It will be a different format than we normally have for worship, and may evolve during our time apart from each other. Archives of the sermons and devotions will be available after the fact on that channel.

Other options exist for internet-based worship. Our sister congregation in San Jose will have a robust livestream. You can find those options on Apostles’ Facebook Video Page. Many other WELS congregations also offer live streaming options. You can find a comprehensive list on the WELS Yearbook Internet Broadcast Page.

Gloria Dei Lutheran School

In an order affecting all schools public and private regardless of size in San Mateo county, the health department has shifted all classes to home learning through May 1. That order may be lifted early or extended so school families are encourage to pay careful attention to any communication from the faculty.

Church Education

  • Children’s Sunday School is canceled until the school order is lifted (currently May 1).

  • Adult Bible Class until the school order is lifted (currently May 1).

  • Adult Bible Information Classes will be held as scheduled, but via teleconference rather than in-person until the school order is lifted (currently May 1).

  • Middle School Catechism Classes will have review meetings on Sundays at noon via teleconference. We will not meet in person until the school order is lifted (currently May 1).

Fellowship Hour

Our time to gather together with food and socializing is, unfortunately, canceled for the time being.

Singular Events

  • Family Fun Night (March 27) has been canceled.

  • Easter for Kids (April 4) has been canceled.
